A Boom in the cement industries in the eighties helped in the spectacular growth of the company. Nairsons progressed in leaps and bounds crusading through the thick and the thin and soon carved out a formidable position for themselves. They were in the delicate business of ensuring timely and adequate fuel supply to the voracious appetite of various industries. Their total commitment to service was rewarded by bigger and yet bigger coal handling contracts with Steel Industry, Paper Industry, Thermal Power Plants besides the flourishing cement industry. Nairsons, once even tied up to import coal for the insatiable Maharashtra State Electricity Board! The sudden demise of the late Shri Ravi Nair in 1987 created a void in the company. The company fell back upon its inner strengths and bounced back in a very short time. Today the group is stronger than ever and has diversified , maintaining the high quality standarsd that it had set  for itself in each of its ventures.
